Eddie Garcia, a veteran actor in the Filipino cinema, has passed away. The news was confirmed by Dr. Tony Rebosa, the spokesperson of the Garcia Family.

He was 90-years-old.

According to a medical bulletin that was issued by the Makati Medical Center, the 90-year-old actor passed away today by 4:55 PM.

Garcia was in a coma after he suffered a neck injury, the actor fell to the ground while he was taping for a television show on June 8.

Reports say that the condition of Eddie Garcia worsened yesterday as he showed “little signs of brain activity”.

News outlets said that the veteran actor was on a ventilator.

The exact cause of his death has not yet been announced.
