Huawei Enjoy 5S With Fingerprint Reader, Octa-core SoC Launched in China – Check out the Specs List!

Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing firm has launched a new mid-range smartphone namely Enjoy 5S in China today. The device is now listed on the company’s official Vmall store which is priced at CNY 1,199 (approximately Rs. 12,500) and the handset will be available for purchase starting December 10. The new Enjoy 5S smartphone is a different version of the Enjoy 5 which the company launched in October earlier this year.

In the month of November, the Chinese smartphone company has launched a new flagship smartphone namely Mate 8 with Android Marshmallow 6.0 update and a massive 4000mAh battery. Huawei not only manufactures smartphones but also designs wearables and recently, it has launched a wearable fitness band in the Honor series named Honor Band Z1 in India which is now available for purchase via the leading E-Commerce giant Flipkart.

Specifications

Display: The Huawei Enjoy 5S features a 5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels.

Processor: The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753T processor which is clocked at 1.5GHz.

RAM: The smartphone comes with a 2GB RAM.

Storage: On the Storage font, the device includes an inbuilt storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a MicroSD card.

Operating System: The smartphone runs EMUI 3.1 Lite based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out-of-the-box.

Camera: The Huawei Enjoy 5S comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera powered by BSI CMOS sensor, alongside a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Also, the smartphone can record video in 1080p full HD.

Connectivity: In terms of Connectivity, the handset supports the following:

  • Bluetooth
  • Wi-Fi
  • GPS/A-GPS
  • micro USB port

Battery: The device is backed by a 2200 mAh battery, which gives about 7 hours of talk time on 2G and 3.33 hours of talk time on 4G.

Color: The smartphone will be available in two color variants such as Gold and Silver color variants.

Add-ons: One of the highlights of this smartphone is that it comes with a fingerprint sensor which uses a second generation FPC push fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint reader is mounted on the back below the rear camera.

Huawei has not yet announced the price and availability of the phone for global markets. Apart from Huawei, almost all major smartphone manufacturing companies will be launching their next flagship devices at the event. The company has launched its high-end flagship phablet Huawei Mate 8 in China last month. The device will be launched globally during CES 2016 in January.
