Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite With 8-MP Front-Facing Snapper Launched Ahead of CES 2016

Lenovo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturers has launched its all new Vibe S1 Lite smartphone ahead of Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 which is going to be held in Las Vegas this week. As the name suggests, the new smartphone is a ‘lite’ version of the Lenovo Vibe S1 that was launched in the month of November 2015 in India. The Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite is priced at $199 (approximately Rs. 13,300) and is expected to go on sale by early 2016.

The Chinese company confirmed its presence at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas this week. But the company is not anticipating for the big event to showcase its latest series of devices. The Chinese smartphone maker back in the month of November launched a new budget smartphone, Vibe S1 Lite, which is a toned-down version of last year’s Lenovo Vibe S1. The new Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite appears to be a pretty good deal despite being a downgraded version of the Vibe S1.

The toned version of Lenovo Vibe S1 smartphone has most features intact and is we can hear more about the device at the CES trade show this week. The Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite features a design which is alike to the original Vibe S1 smartphone. The Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite has an amazing design that sports a sandwiched metal frame with glass on both sides. This indicates that Lenovo has gone simple with the specs as compared to its elder sibling, the Lenovo Vibe S1. The Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite features a 5-inch full-HD display with a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels which is same as the original Vibe S1. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processor which is paired with 2GB of RAM.  On the storage front, the device packs an onboard storage of 16GB which can be further expanded upto 128GB via microSD card.

CES 2016 - Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite Launched in China

The smartphone measures 145 x 71 x 8.5mm and weighs 129 grams. It is a dual-SIM smartphone with dual standby that runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. On the camera front, the smartphone comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera that features a dual-tone LED flash, phase detection autofocus (PDAF), and BSI sensor. On of the highlights of the new Vibe S1 Lite is that the device has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera which comes with an LED flash. The original  Lenovo Vibe S1 featured dual front cameras including an 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel front cameras.

In terms of Connectivity, the smartphone supports 4G, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. The smartphone is power-packed by a 2700mAh battery. The smartphone will be available in two color variants such as blue and white. Ahead of CES 2016, the Chinese company unveiled plenty of new devices including 12 new laptops, an all-in-one system, a tablet, a monitor, two 2-in-1 laptops, two ThinkCentre-in-one systems, besides the new budget laptop with Chrome OS and Windows 10 variants.
