Oppo, the Chinese smartphone makers has announced that it will launch its camera-focused smartphone under the F series namely F1 in India. Oppo is expected to debut its new camera-focused ‘F’ smartphone series smartphone, Oppo F1 in India on January 28. The smartphone has first reached Vietnam. The device, which was first announced by the Chinese handset makers at the CES 2016 International trade show, is now up for pre-orders on a Vietnamese online retailer. Priced at VND 6,490,000 (approximately Rs. 19,300), the handset will start shipping from January 21.
The company has already sent out invites for the launch event. The Chinese firm has made an announcement regarding the launch of the new smartphone series during the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2016 International trade show. As of now, nothing much is known about the handset.
The new Oppo F1 smartphone sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels which is protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 coating along with a pixel density of 294ppi. The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor which is clocked at 1.7GHz, Adreno 405 GPU coupled with 3GB RAM. On the storage front, the Oppo F1 includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded upto 128GB via microSD card.
On the Camera front, the device comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera that comes with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) feature, which we have already seen in the Oppo R7 variants. On the other side, the device bears an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The camera will be backed by the company’s native PureImage 2.0+ platform, which will highlight a wide set of modes along with filters. The display of the device also doubles as the flash in low-light environments. The smartphone is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
Oppo is well-known for smartphones with rotating cameras and photo-stitching technology. This Chinese handset company was amidst the first to launch its N1 handset with rotating camera in the year 2013. Last year, in the month of December, Oppo also introduced its new after sales service policy as a part of which it will be beginning 200 new service centers. Apart from this, the Chinese handset firm also initiated the 30-day handset replacement warranty with two years of extended warranty on the newly purchased Oppo handsets.
