Oppo Electronics, the Chinese smartphone makers has now announced a new smartphone namely R7 Plus which is a high-end variant. The company has launched R7 Plus smartphone in India alongside the R7 Lite handset. The Chinese company announced numerous handsets this year despite a maximum of them are mid-range offerings. Oppo R7 Plus certainly belongs to that mid-range category as this smartphone was announced back in September.

Now, the company went official and announced yet another high-end variant of the Oppo R7 Plus which is almost identical to its sibling in every way. Yet, there is only difference that this smartphone actually features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone is now available for preorder and can be booked right from the company’s official website. The company has scheduled the official launch of this smartphone for later this month.

Specifications

The high-end variant of R7 Plus features a 6-inch full-HD AMOLED display. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM8939 (quad-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 and quad-core 1GHz Cortex-A53) processor paired with a 4GB RAM. On the storage front, the device comes with an inbuilt storage of 64GB which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

The Oppo R7 Plus measures 158 x 82 x 7.75 mm and weighs 182 grams. On the camera front, the smartphone comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and Isocell image sensor technology. On the other side, the device comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. The dual-SIM phablet sports a fingerprint sensor placed on its rear panel. The handset runs Android 5.1 Lollipop-based ColorOS 2.1 developed by Oppo.

The smartphone is fueled by a whopping 4100mAh non-removable battery. The company claims that the device features VOOC flash charging technology which is rated to deliver two hours of talk time in five minutes of charging, and charge the handset by 75 percent in 30 minutes.

The Oppo R7 Plus is manufactured out of metal that features a fingerprint scanner on its back. The handset is available in yet another variant exclusive to China Unicom (Chinese carrier). Now, this new higher-end variant of the Oppo R7 Plus comes in Gold color variant which is priced at 3,299 Yuan ($514) in China while the China Unicom variant is priced at 2,999 Yuan ($483). This smartphone is already available for a pre-order directly from the official website of Oppo and will be available for open purchase in China later this month.
