Earlier this month, the company has launched three budget-priced smartphones in India namely the Z55 Delite, Infinium Z45 Dazzle and Infinium Z45 Amaze. The smartphone features almost similar specifications like seen with its siblings. However, it features a better camera. Videocon Mobiles has entered the smartphone market 2009 and since its entry, the company has launched copious handsets ranging from basic mobile phones to high-ends Android smartphones.

Beginning of this year, Videocon has unveiled its own first flagship smartphone under the Infinium series called Infinium Z51+ in India at an affordable price range. Now, Videocon has added another smartphone to its smartphones list with the launch of Z55 Krypton. Priced at Rs. 7,999, the device comes with pretty good specifications and features.

The new Z55 Krypton smartphone sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels along with Dragontrail X Glass for protection. The handset is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz which is clubbed with 1GB of RAM. On the Storage front, the smartphone includes an internal memory of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The device comes with dual-SIM support that runs Android 5.1 Lollipop Operating system.

On the Camera front, the Videocon Z55 Krypton comes equipped with a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash. On the other side, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. One of the amazing features of this handset is that the rear camera lens is made of Corning scratch-proof glass. In terms of Connectivity, the smartphone supports Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, and 4G.

The smartphone is backed by a 2200mAh battery and includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The Z55 Krypton smartphone comes preloaded with the V-Safe app, which is designed for emergency intents to contact family and friends. It also comes with a 90-day free subscription to the V-Secure antivirus app.
