Goa: Tourist Minister Advices Tourists ‘Don’t Do Drugs, Drink Feni Instead’  

On Wednesday, Manohar Ajgaonkar the Tourist Minister of Goa adviced the tourists who are visiting the state to not take drugs but drink “Feni” instead, a liquor that is made out from the Cashew fruit. 

Manohar Ajgaonkar the Tourist Minister of Goa said this during a press conference:  “We have taken precautions that drugs are not introduced during electronic dance music (EDM) festivals,” the minister said in response to a query on the rampant sale of drugs at the EDM events here.”

He also added that he has instructed the Goa Police that there must be no chaotic situations happening when the festivals are going on.

Manohar Ajgaonkar the Tourist Minister of Goa said that people should enjoy the music and drink cashew Feni instead of taking drugs.

Manohar Ajgaonkar the Tourist Minister of Goa said that the department has treated the tourists in its states with love and dignity, but if they will violate the laws of the state, they will face serious consequences.

Manohar Ajgaonkar the Tourist Minister of Goa added that his department has done a lot of things to implement the new Goa Tourist Place Protection and Maintenance Act that prohibits drinking in public areas which include beaches.

The Tourism Minister said that anyone who gets caught drinking liquor on the beaches will get a fine of Rs. 2000, but if a group gets caught they will have to pay Rs. 10,000.
