Michael Jordan, a basketball legend, has donated a massive amount of $2 million to the largest food shelter network in the United States of America.

Jordan donated a massive chunk to Feeding America, the network.

The news was announced on Twitter by Feeding America.

They said:

An incredible gift to be thankful for – NBA legend Michael Jordan is donating $2 million to help our neighbors facing hunger!

Earlier this year, it was reported that Michael Jordan would donate the money that he got from his show on Netflix to charity.

He estimated got around $3 to 4 million.

The name of the organizations was not confirmed or shared with the public.

After making the massive donation, Michael released a statement.

The statement reads:

In these challenging times and in a year of unimaginable difficulty due to COVID-19, it’s more important than ever to pause and give thanks. I am proud to be donating additional proceeds from The Last Dance to Feeding America and its member food banks in the Carolinas and Chicago to help feed America’s hungry.

Who And What Does Feeding America Do?

Feeding America is the largest domestic hunger-relief organization of the United States of America. They are working with 200 food banks. They have 60,000 partners in coordination with volunteers amidst this pandemic.

Their main goal is to provide food to everyone in the country during times like these.

The organization has successfully offered over 4.2 billion meals to people all over the United States of America.
