Hyderabad: CM KCR Announces Slew of Sops For Muslim Minorities

KCR announced that the government is going to build an industrial estate and IT corridor especially for Muslims for which the 100% subsidy is provided for unit’s worth up to Rs. 2.5 lakhs. These units should be started by self-employed minority youth. He also said that water pipelines will be repaired in eight constituencies in Old City.

KCR also said that there are some special considerations with the request of Hyderabad MIM MP Asaruddin Owaisi to develop Charminar and areas around Charminar on the line of Golden Temple in Amritsar. It was decided to construct 200 residential schools for minorities, 100 exclusively for girls. The government has estimated the initial expenditure for these schools to be around ₹586 crore. But as the work progress, the expenditure will be around ₹1,500 crore progressively over the years.

After this announcement immediately the first thing KCR did was, to pass an order releasing 41.7 crores for waterworks to take place in the 8 assembly constituencies of Old City.
