Hyderabad: Heavy Rain Lashes City, Roads Drowned
Hyderabad witnessed heavy traffic on Wednesday to a complete standstill in several parts of the city. It is also reported that the city is facing many problems in the rainy season every year.
The low lying areas like Kavadiguda, Bhagya Laxmi Nagar, Bhoiguda etc are drowned in the rain while areas like Tarnaka, Madhapur, Kondapur, and Gachibowli has witnessed huge traffic jams due to heavy rains. Due to these showers very frequently IT employees are facing many problems while they travel to the office.
Panjagutta, Gajularamaram Circle, the road under bridge at Lingampally-Seriling-ampally, Neredmet Crossroads, Malkajgiri, Santoshnagar, Lakshminagar drain in Kapra Circle, Salarjung Museum, Falaknuma, Nagole Junction, Engine Bowli, Asadbabanagar and Kishanbagh areas have too much traffic while it rains.
“There would be isolated rainfall, at times heavy, across the state. In some places, the rain could be as high as seven centimeters,” Y K Reddy, director.
The IMD said, “The upper air cyclonic circulation over northern parts of Madhya Pradesh between 1.5 and 7.6 km above mean sea level persists. A trough extends from Chhattisgarh to south Tamilnadu across Telangana and south coastal Andhra Pradesh.”
