Hyderabad: MLA’s Son Booked For LPG Cylinders Fraud

An MLA from Charminar, Ahmed Pasha Quadri`s son Syed Khader has been booked for charge indulging in alleged illegal sale of LPG Cylinders in Hyderabad.

The Bahadurpura police have registered a case against Syed Khader under the Essential Commodities Act. It is said that LPG cylinders are being stored in a premise at Nabi-E-Kareem colony near Miralam.

“The two were storing and selling gas cylinders. I request you to take action against Mohd Abdul Quadri and Abdul Kareem for diverting commercial gas cylinders,” the complaint said.

The report from civil supplies department stated that they seized about 168 commercial cylinders. This department is headed by V Bala Raju assistant supply officer (Circle – III) Charminar.

“In our preliminary investigation, it was found that the son of the Charminar legislator Ahmed Pasha Quadri had rented the building to Abdul Kareem, a resident of Aghapura. Every month Kareem handed over the rent to the MLA’s son,” said ACP K. Ashok Chakravarthy.

Out of 168 seized cylinders, there are 113 were full and 55 were empty.

A case was filed under section 420 of the Indian Penal Code and Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
