Two men who are riding a bike snatched a bag contains Rs. 7 Lakhs in cash and flew away. The attempted robbery is failed after the locals caught them and handed over to the policemen. This incident took place within the limits of Mailardevpally area.

After the investigation, the police reported that the accused encountered the victim  Siddu Singh when he is way back from his house which is located at Basheerbagh.

Jagadeeshwar, the Inspector of Mailardevpally said, “They snatched a bag, which contained Rs 7 lakh, from him near the Palladium function hall and sped away with it. Siddu Singh followed them on his bike, but the pillion rider brandished a knife and threatened to kill him if he continued following them.”

The locals in the area where the theft took place managed to catch hold of the accused and raise the alarm before thrashing them and hand them over to the policemen at Mailardevpally area.

Basing on a complaint filed by Siddu Singh, a case is registered under section 382 of the IPC, for preparation made for causing death, hurt in order to commit theft.
