17-Year-Old Rajasthan Girl Kidnapped, Harassed, And Raped For 2 Months By Facebook Friend And His Family
A 17-year-old girl from Rajasthan was kidnapped, harassed, and raped for 2 months by a former friend on Facebook.
The rapist, who is also a minor, brought the girl to his house in Guna District in Madhya Pradesh, where the girl called her parents.
The 17-year-old girl, who is from Kota, Rajasthan, managed to sneak a call to her parents and narrated the things that the minor was doing to her.
The girl is a class 10 dropout.
The parents called the police, which led the Kota police to rescue her from Guna.
The minor was brought to a Child Welfare Committee on the evening of January 7, 2020.
Kaniz Fatima, the chairperson of the CWC, said the 17-year-old girl will be sent to a woman’s shelter home.
Preliminary investigations revealed that she met the minor on Facebook a couple of months ago.
The minor confirmed she was in frequent contact with the boy, which led him to invite her to their house in Guna, promising her that she can live with him.
The 17-year-old girl fell into the trap and traveled to Guna, where she was initially treated by the family members of the girl in a good way.
But after some time, the family started to harass and torture her.
The family of the boy held the girl as a hostage in a room and raped her repeatedly over the course of 2 months.
The 17-year-old girl said the family of the boy would beat her and harass her while forcing her to do all the household chores.
The mother and the sister of the boy were involved in the harassment.
The cellphone of the 17-year-old girl was also taken away from her.
Kaniz Fatima, the chairperson of the CWC, said the girl managed to sneak and send a message to her father, who reported the incident to the Udhyog Nagar Police Station.
A team of police officers, which was led by ASI Khemchand, was sent to Guna with hopes of rescuing the 17-year-old girl.
Authorities successfully rescued the girl.
According to the police, the girl had a number of injuries and marks on her body when she was rescued.
The CWC asked the Udhyog Nagar Police Station to lodge a kidnap and rape case against the minor under the sections of 363, 366, 376 and sections of the POCSO Act.
The family of the boy will also be investigated.
SHO Muninder Singh of the Udhyog Nagar Police Station said a case against the accused was lodged after the police team was sent to rescue the girl.
SHO Singh said, “Rape case against the youth under sections of IPC and POCSO Act has not been registered as the minor girl’s statements under section 164 before the magistrate is yet to be recorded, he said, adding that the accused is also a minor.”
The girl is reportedly being treated for the injuries that she sustained from the continuous harassment she suffered for the past 2 months.
