Kankaria Adventure Park Ahmedabad Accident: 2 people have been confirmed dead and 27 injured in the amusement park accident that occurred on Sunday.

The Kankaria Adventure Park is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and is considered as one of the most famous tourist spots in the city.

Local media report that there were 30 people on the ride in the Adventure Park when it collapsed.

Officials rushed all the 27 injured to a hospital nearby and added that 15 are currently in a critical condition.

22-year-old Mohammad Javed and 24-year-old Manali Rajwadi are the two passengers of the ride who passed away.

MF Dastoor, the Chief Fire Officer of Ahmedabad, said,

“There are 32 seats in the ride that go round. The pipe of the main shaft broke and crashed on the ground. How that pipe broke is a matter of investigation by Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).”

The state government said that the police and an FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team will be investigating the said accident and will find out how the accident happened.

The government added that the injured passengers of the ride are and will be getting proper treatment.
