JP Nadda, the National President of the BJP, has announced on social media that they have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

The news was confirmed today via Twitter, a microblogging website.

कोरोना के शुरूआती लक्षण दिखने पर मैंने टेस्ट करवाया और रिपोर्ट पॉजिटिव आई है। मेरी तबीयत ठीक है, डॉक्टर्स की सलाह पर होम आइसोलेशन में सभी दिशा- निर्देशो का पालन कर रहा हूँ। मेरा अनुरोध है, जो भी लोग गत कुछ दिनों में संपर्क में आयें हैं, कृपया स्वयं को आइसोलेट कर अपनी जाँच करवाएं।

In the tweet, JP Nadda said:

On getting the initial symptoms of corona, I got the test done and the report came back positive. My health is fine, following all the guidelines in home isolation on the advice of doctors. My request is, whoever has come in contact in the last few days, please isolate yourself and get yourself checked.

The tweet was made in Hindi.

JP Nadda has requested the people that came in contact with him to isolate and get themselves tested to avoid complications.

In the last 24 hours, India reported over 30,000 new coronavirus cases.

The data was released by the union ministry of health and family welfare.

The death toll of India has officially risen up to 143,019.

There are only 3,60,000 active coronavirus cases in the country.
