Haryana, India: A 15-year-old girl was raped by 2 men and burned to death afterward in the Bhiwani district of Haryana.

The incident reportedly happened when the girl was inside her house, sleeping with other members of her family.

The duo reportedly poured diesel on her and set her on fire before fleeing away.

The woman was brought to the PGIMS of Rohtak in a critical condition, but she died afterward.

The police later announced that the main accused was his uncle, who has been arrested.

The second man is currently on the run.

SHO Shri Bhagwan Yadav, a police officer that is handling the case, said:

We have arrested the main accused while the other is yet at large. Further investigation is on. The girl’s body was handed over to her family after a postmortem.

The police said that the family of the victim has a history of filing complaints against other family members.

On July 13, the father of the deceased had lodged a complaint against the main accused, his sister, and his uncle, who he said gang-raped their daughter.

He also said that the uncle and his sister made objectionable videos and blackmailed his daughter.

Soon after the case was filed, the father of the accused committed suicide.

A complaint was lodged against the victim, her father, and others.
