Madhya Pradesh: In an act of desperation, a 50-year-old man from Bhopal, India, died after he accidentally consumed acid that was stored in a beer bottle.

The confirmation was made by the Bhopal City Police on April 15, 2020.

According to reports, the incident happened on April 13, 2020.

Suresh Sajalkar, the 50-year-old man, reportedly drank acid thinking that it was beer.

Sanjeev Chouksey, a police officer at the T T Police Station, said that the condition of Sajalkar deteriorated and was rushed to a hospital.

He died on Wednesday.

A case was registered in this regard and a probe was launched.

The incident comes amidst the coronavirus lockdown in India, which has placed over 1.3 billion residents in complete lockdown.
