Banda, Uttar Pradesh: A woman was arrested by the police for killing her minor daughter because she stayed away from their house for 1 night.

The mother also buried her body with the help of a man.

The incident happened in the Banda district of Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, the woman killed her minor daughter, whose identity and age were not shared with the public, on April 30, 2020.

Saroj, the mother, buried her daughter, Shilpi, with the help of a man at a secluded spot.

An FIR (First Information Report) was lodged at a local police station by Bhawani Singh, the cousin of Shilpi, who got to know about the incident.

Singh said that Saroj killed Shilpi with the help of another person and buried her body at a secluded spot.

Shashi Kumar Pandey, the SHO (Station House Officer) of the Gorean Police Station, said that they detained Saroj after the FIR was lodged.

During interrogation, the woman admitted that she killed her daughter.

The woman told the police that she got into an argument with Shilpi because she stayed away from their house for 1 night.

Saroj was arrested by the police after the body of the girl was recovered.
