Man Stabbed To Death For Selling Chickens At A Very High Price During Coronavirus Lockdown
Jahangirpuri, New Delhi: A 35-year-old chicken seller was stabbed to death by 4 people because he was selling chicken at a high price amidst the coronavirus lockdown in India.
Shiraz, the victim, is originally from West Bengal, India, where he sold fish to residents, but started to sell chicken due to the lockdown.
The 35-year-old started to sell chicken through a small cart outside his house during this pandemic.
According to the police, 4 men arrived outside his house and asked for the price of the chicken, and when he told the price, the men said that he was selling chicken at a very high price.
This led to an argument.
The police got to know about the incident, and when they came, they launched an investigation.
Vijayanta Arya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest), said:
On reaching the spot, it was revealed that Shiraz, was stabbed by one Shah Alam and his brothers. When Shiraz was selling chicken, some argument occurred between him the accused over the price of chicken.
Shah Alam and his 3 brothers attacked Shiraz with a knife and iron rods.
He was rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Mangolpuri, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
A case has been registered in this matter.
Shah Alam has been arrested by the police and they are trying to find the other 3 men.
