Man Tells Wife He Tested Positive For Coronavirus, Leaves Home And Gets Caught By Police Hanging Out With Mistress

Mumbai, India: A 28-year-old man from Navi, who went missing in July this year, after telling his wife that he had contracted the virus, was found by the authorities with his mistress.

The man reportedly called his wife on July 24, 2020, and told her that he had contracted the disease.

He also told the wife that he will not be living anymore before he quickly hung up the phone.

The wife was left puzzled, so she called up her brother and brought her to the police to file a missing person’s complaint.

The motorcycle of the man, his helmet, his bag, and the keys that he had were found at a road in Vashi’s Sector 17.

The police did not get any information about the whereabouts of the man.

ACP Vinayak Vats, the police officer that was handling the case, said that an investigation was launched after a complaint was registered.

CCTV footages from nearby areas were collected and the police went on to try and track the location of the man by tracking his cellphone.

When the police got to know that the 28-year-old had dialed 100 2 times the night he went missing, they looked at the possibility of an enmity or a possible robbery.

As investigations were being carried out, the police got to know about the mistress of the man, and 1 month after the investigations, the police found out the location of the man.

The man was in Indore.

Vashi SHO Sanjiv Dhumal sent a team to Indore to find the man.

He was found living with his mistress, said the police.

He was brought back to Mumbai on September 15, 2020.

The police did not reveal the identity of the couple due to legal reasons.
