New Delhi: 2 Drunk Men Beat Man To Death In Front Of Pregnant Wife While Couple Was Searching For Lost Son

New Delhi, India: A 40-year-old man was beaten to death by 2 drunk men with an iron rod in front of his pregnant wife when they were researching for their son, who went missing earlier that evening.

The police said the 2 drunk men are brothers, who have been identified as Dheeraj Arora, 29, and Rakesh Arora, 31.

The drunk brothers have been arrested by the police.

Krishan Kumar Meena, the victim, died while getting treatment at the Safdarjung Hospital after sustaining severe head injuries.

The 2 brothers are drivers that work for the Gramin Sewa, which operates in the Okhla Industrial Area.

The police managed to trace the missing child, he was found in the Pul Prahladpur area of New Delhi.

The police said that the incident happened on Maa Anand Mai Marg on the evening of Thursday.

Pappi Devi, the wife of Meena, along with her husband were searching for Rahul, their 7-year-old son.

Meena approached the 2 brothers to ask them if they have seen their child, instead of replying properly, they got irritated and ended up attacking the victim with an iron rod.

Pappi shouted for help, and the 2 brothers escaped the scene.

Meena was left at the scene with blood injuries.

R P Meena, the DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police) Southeast New Delhi, said:

When our team was patrolling on Maa Anand Mai Marg, they noticed a pregnant lady near Honda Showroom Chowk. She appeared nervous and was crying as her husband was lying on the road in an injured condition. By then public had also gathered there and our staff immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

During investigations, Devi narrated the incident to the police and described the men that attacked and killed her husband.

Based on the statement that she released, a case was registered at the Okhla Industrial Area Police Station.

A security guard saw the entire incident, and he told the police about where they could find the 2 men that were involved in the incident.

Rakesh was arrested by the police after he was seen sleeping inside one of the vehicles of the Gramin Sewa.

Rakesh was interrogated by the police, and he ended up telling the whereabouts of Dheeraj, his brother.

The accused later told the police that they were drunk and were talking about something important when the incident happened.

They said they got annoyed by the victim who was repeatedly asking them about his missing son.
