New Delhi Women’s Panel Rescue Woman Who Was Chained, Forced To Sleep On Her Own Poop And Tortured By Husband

New Delhi, India: A 32-year-old woman was saved by the women’s panel of New Delhi after it was reported that she was chained inside their house and was being tortured by her husband.

The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) from East Delhi’s Trilokpuri reduced the woman, who was not identified.

The police said that are currently in the process of filing an official FIR for the incident.

Officials from the DCW said that the woman was bound in iron chains by her husband in their own house.

The woman had been married for the last 11 years.

According to reports, the woman was forced to sleep and lie down on her own poop.

She was tortured and beaten so badly that her mental health had been affected.

After getting information about the horrible crime, DCW members Firdos Khan and Kiran Negi escalated the matter and reached the location along with panel chairperson Swati Maliwal, said a report by NDTV.

The woman was found with her feet chained.

The DCW said that the woman had dirty and torn clothes.

The team talked with the woman, who told her that she had been married for the last 11 years.

The woman and her husband have 3 kids.

Her husband used to beat her brutally, she confirmed and added that she had been locked in chains for the past 6 months.

It was found that the husband of the victim owns a flour mill.

The 3 children of the woman also confirmed the horrible crimes that their father committed earlier.

The DCW freed the woman and took her for treatment.

DCW Chief Swati Maliwal released a treatment about the incident and said:

The torture inflicted on her has left deep scars. She is even suffering from mental health issues now. We have rescued her and have started working on her rehabilitation. We will ensure strongest action against the perpetrators of the crime.

A senior police officer said that the woman is at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital.

The police are now in the process of launching an official investigation after an FIR will be filed on the basis of the complaint.

The whereabouts of the husband remain unknown.
