Qualification & Experience:

=>Economist :

=>(a) Minimum Post Graduate in Economics with specialization in monetary/financial economics or econometrics from a recognized Indian/Foreign University/Institute. Preference will be given to candidates with doctorate degree in areas of money/banking/int ernational finance. 

=>(b)Experience – Minimum 3 years work experience as an Economist in a Commercial Bank (other than Indian Overseas Bank) /Financial Institution or other reputed Corporate Organization or Teaching experience as Lecturer / Professor in Economics in a College / University or combined experience as an Economist and in teaching. 

=>(c) Should possess excellent communication skills. 

=>(d) Contribution to leading publications and participation in various economic fora will be an added advantage.

=>Chief Economist :

=>(a) Minimum Post Graduate in Economics with specialization inmonetary/financial economics or econometrics from a recognized Indian/Foreign University/Institute. Preference will be given to candidates with doctorate degree in areas of money/banking/intern ational finance.

=>Chartered Accountant:

=>(a) Passed final examination for Chartered Accountants. Preference will be given to candidates who have passed ACS and /or ICWA. 

=>(b) Serving or Retired executives not below the rank of Assistant General Manager with minimum 10-12 years hands on experience of handling regulatory issues in a    Public Sector Bank. Should preferably have recent experience in the above  area  with knowledge of latest developments on the regulatory front.

 IOB, Central Office, Chennai.

Selection Process:

=>Only Eligible candidates called for Personal Interview. The Interview process will carry an aggregate of 100 Marks. Minimum qualifying marks in the interview will be 45.00 marks. Final selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Interview process and will be according to the merit ranking.
