Karnataka Bank Officer (Scale I) Exam Pattern :

There are Five Type of Questions which will contain a total of 200 questions and each question will contain 1 mark. The candidates will be provided 120 Minutes to Answer all the Questions.

  • 50 Questions will be based on the Reasoning.
  • 40 Questions will check the command of candidate over English Language.
  • 20 Questions will check the Computer Knowledge of candidate.
  • 40 Questions will Test the General Awareness (main focus will be on Banking Industry).
  • 40 Questions will be based on Quantitative Aptitude.

All the Questions will be of Objective Type & There will be a negative marking of 1/4 marks for each wrong answer.

Karnataka Bank Officer (Scale I) Syllabus 2014:

Reasoning : Focus on Comprehensional Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions,  arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements.

English Language : Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error, Sentence Correction, Comprehension & Cloze, Fill in the blanks.

General Awareness : Questions will be asked from Indian Current Events, Banking, General Science, General Knowledge. Focus will be mainly on Current affairs of National & International news, Important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture & Banking Sector. Some questions from Marketing can come in the exam.

Computer Awareness : Basic of Computers, Computer Organization, Generations of computer, Input & Output Device, Shortcuts & Basic knowledge MS word, MS Excel, MS power point, Memory Orientation, Internet, LAN, WAN, Modem, Computer Abbreviations, Modern day Technology. Remember short cut Tricks of MS Word, MS Excel & Computer Abbreviations.

Quantitative Aptitude : Simplification, Average, Profit & Loss, Problems in chains, Time & work, Percentage, Simple & Compound interest, Time & Speed, HCF.LCM, Bar Graph, Train , Problems on age, Pictorial Graph, Data Interpretation, Investment.
