Raju Gadu Movie Review | Terrible Movie

Raju Gadu which has a lot of buzzes created and had a lot of expectations failed to deliver as per promises it had made before release.

The story is based on a character Raju(Raj Tarun) who is kleptomaniac who resists stealing stuff. Later he falls in love with a girl Tanvi (Amyra Dastur) and little did he know her family despised thieves. Now he keeps trying to cover up the fact he cannot stop stealing. The question arises will he be able to overcome his habit of taking or would fail and lose her?

Sanjana Reddy who debuts as a director in this film had set high hopes for the film, which it failed to deliver on. Movie a lot of plots and a lot of things going on. Love triangle, a scientist who is trying to find a cure for people like Raju, there are even terrorist in the movie.

On the one hand, Raju’s x girlfriend threatens him to blow up his cover on the other side the scientist who keeps making cocktails after cocktails hoping to find a cure for Raju and in hopes of winning Nobel prize.

One of the most annoying part of the movie is whenever Raju had an urge to steal whether it is from his Fiance or her family, the terrorist or merely the grocery store in background it starts playing “Choli ke piche kya hai” which is so irritating and overly done it will leave you looking at exit door.
The film begins in 1993 and ends in 2017 and throughout the movie its same thing over and over, and the worst part is even in the end Raju is still struggling to keep his cover.

Though out the so-called “comedy movie” anything and everything which was planned to bring laughter did exactly opposite of it.
It’s mind numbing and irritating and annoying which failed miserably as the director tried doing a lot of stuff at the same time without putting everything correctly in its place.

The film received 1 / 5 stars from times of India. We do not recommend this movie.
