A 32-year-old woman from Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, committed suicide by hanging herself after her husband did not allow her to visit the home of her mother to celebrate Raksha Bandhan.

The incident happened on August 15, 2019 (Thursday).

Preliminary investigations revealed that Anshul Singh, the husband of Anamika, did not allow her to celebrate Raksha Bandhan in the house of her mother in the Sitapur District.

Anshul and Anamika live in their house in Kotwali.

After the Anshul left their house, Anamika decided to end her life by hanging herself from the ceiling fan of her room by using her sari.

Aham, the 8-year-old son of the couple, found her mother hanging unconscious inside their room.

Aham rushed out of their house while he was crying.

The alert neighbors of the couple saw Aham crying and rushed towards him.

The neighbors saw the body of Anamika hanging and informed the police about the incident.

The body of Anamika was sent for an autopsy.

The parents and relatives of Anamika did not lodge any complaint against Anshul Singh.

The family members of Anamika have arrived in Hardoi.

Anshul Singh and Anamika are the parents of 3 children.

Anshul Singh owns an electronic equipment shop near their house.
