The 4-month-old puppy was in a bad shape and was injured.
Sally had wounds all over her. But even after the pain she went through, she was so happy when the passerby opened the box and found her.
The passerby took pictures of Sally and shared them on social media, he then called an animal shelter in Dallas City and informed the animal rescue about the condition of the puppy.
The volunteers of the DogRRR rushed to the scene after they were informed about the horrible story.
It was Patti Dawson, the vice-president and the executive director of Dallas DogRRR, who arrived at the scene first.
Patti explained what she saw, “You open the box and never could you fathom that you find a 4-month-old puppy unable to move.”
She added, “This is how Sally was found, taped up in a box in a dumpster like yesterday’s trash.”
The puppy was embraced by Patti and hugged her for at least 15 minutes, this helped the dog calm down after going through such horrors.

Patti said it’s clear that the puppy tried to escape from the box.
When the puppy was rescued, it was 32 degrees outside, and there was no proper air route in the box.
The puppy was brought to a vet and received medical help.
Patti shared the health of the puppy after staying with the vets for a couple of weeks.
The post said, “She is doing very well folks. Sally is moving to foster care and will be in and out of the vets office for the next several weeks.”
