Hero Mother Saves Toddler From Jaws Of Crocodile By Sticking Fingers Up Its Nose

A 30-year-old mother from Zimbabwe is all over the news right now after she managed to save her toddler son from the jaws of a crocodile by sticking her fingers up the nose of the reptile.

Maurina Musisinyana left her 2 children playing under an umbrella on the bank of the Runder River in Zimbabwe while she went nearby.

She heard a scream and ran back to the scene just to find the umbrella floating in the water.

She then saw a crocodile dragging away his 3-year-old son, Gideon.

Maurina jumped on the beast and used her fingers to block its nose.

Her heroic act forced the crocodile to release its grip on the boy.

She managed to snatch 3-year-old Gideon away, however, the crocodile managed to bite her hand.

Her boy was rushed to the hospital after the horrific incident, which happened near the Gonarezhou National Park.

Gideo was brought to the hospital with severe bleeding and facial injuries.

Luckily he made a full recovery from the horrific incident.

Maurina Musisinyana, the mother, said:

“I pressed its nose hard, a tip I learnt from the elders long back. If you suffocate a crocodile from its nose it loses its strength and that is exactly what I did. I used my other arm to free my baby’s head from its jaws. Even to this day, I still do not believe I rescued my son.”

Such a strong mother!
