Hyderabad: Humane Society International announces Rs. 50,000 in reward for information about man who burnt kitten alive

Hyderabad, India: The Humane Society International in India has announced that they will be giving out Rs. 50,000 in reward to anyone who can give information about a man that was caught on cam burning a kitten alive.

The reward was announced after a video of the incident went viral on social media.

In the video, which is graphic to watch, an unidentified man could be seen setting the kitten on fire with a lighter.

The man then shared it on social media.

Shambhavi Tiwari of the NGO HIS said that the man poured inflammable liquid on the kitten before setting it on fire.

She added:

There is no voice in the video other than the painful screams of the kitten. The kitten was in a weak condition and died within seconds of the fire engulfing it. If you have any information about this man, please share. It will help us and the police in nabbing him.

HSI India managing director Alokparna Sengupta believes that the person in the video could do other crimes to animals and even humans if he/she gets away with it.

The Humane Society International has filed a complaint with the cybercrime cell of Hyderabad.

The authorities are now trying to trace the culprit on social media.
