Mexican Woman Thought She Rescued A “Dog”, Turns Out She Rescued A Coyote

A woman from Ciudad Victoria, Mexico, decided to rescue a poor puppy, but one thing she didn’t know is that it was actually a coyote.

Andrea Athie was traveling when she saw an exhausted dog on the side of the road, as it had a broken leg.

Athie decided to jump out of the car and rescue the dog, not realizing that it was actually a coyote.

Athie rushed the animal, which she thought was a dog, to a veterinary’s clinic, where she learned out that the animal was actually a wild coyote.

Alejandro, the brother of Athie, decided to tweet the photos of the rescued coyote and the story. The story went viral and it actually shocked the world.

Alejandro said, “Today my sister picked up a COYOTE thinking it was a run-over dog and took it to the vet.”

Athie jokingly replied, “Why did you burn me like that!? Haha, I love you,” and added, “for all who are interested.”

The coyote received treatment and is now in good condition.

Luckily, the coyote didn’t attack Athie.

Athie said the coyote was really friendly and was comfortable with her.

Athie also confirmed that the wild coyote will be going through treatment, which will help it recover from the injuries it has on her legs.

Explaining her kind act, Athie said, “For his sake, he must have the best possible quality of life and isn’t made to suffer. Every effort is being made to recover [him]. He is a wild animal.”

The coyote didn’t want to cooperate with the vets because it was outside its natural habitat.

Athie said the coyote is a wild animal and was depressed when it was brought out from its natural habitat.

Well, Athie did her part and the good thing is she helped the animal.
