Stray Puppy Saved By Fishermen From Death After It Got Swept Out To Sea Hundreds Of Yards Off The Coast Of Mexico

4 Mexican fishermen saved a stray puppy from death after it got swept out into the see hundreds of yards off the coast of Mexico.

29-year-old Rigoberto Michel Flores was fishing off the coast of La Paz Bay in Baja California Sur when he spotted the puppy moving in the see.

At first, Rigoberto and Jorge Abraham, the brother of Rigo, thought it was a person swimming.

But when they moved their boat closer to see what it was, they saw a puppy holding its head above the water, desperately trying to survive and find a ground.

Rigoberto, Abraham, and 2 other friends rush towards the dog and started a rescue mission.

The fishermen whistled the dog and tried to encourage it so it can come closer to them.

Due to the riptide, the dog was having a difficult time to swim and was getting dragged out of the sea.

Luckily, Rigoberto and the boat got close enough to the dog.

Rigoberto reached down and scooped the puppy into his arms before letting it rest as they get him water to drink.

Upon reaching the shore, the fishermen brought the puppy to a vet clinic.

The doctor said the dog was exhausted and had high saltwater intake.

The 4 fishermen named the dog Wilson.

29-year-old Rigoberto said, “I am happy that we could save this puppy from certain death, and I hope that people keep gaining conscience about respecting all living creatures. We all participated. The moment has had a positive impact on me, so much.”

He added, “I want to add that the group respects the life of all animals.”

Faith in humanity restored.
