A Florida teacher has been apprehended by the authorities for performing oral sex on a 15-year-old boy during a graduation party.

49-year-old Leslie Bushart, the teacher, reportedly told the police that she was attending a graduation party for the victim’s older sister on June 6, 2020, when the incident happened.

Bushart is a former Lake Gibson Middle School teacher in Florida.

According to a report by the PCS (Polk County Sheriff) Office, Bushart told the investigating officers that she and the boy walked away from the crowd at one point.

The report added:

She attempted to smoke marijuana, but was so drunk that she couldn’t get it lit. At that point she began performing oral sex on the victim.

Bushart and the teen later rejoined the party.

This is when the teacher started to talk about what she did with the teen with another person at the party.

The report explained:

Bushart told another person at that party that she had just performed oral sex on the teenage victim. That person then informed the mother of the victim. The mother confronted Bushart, who then quickly left the party.

The teacher then reached out to the mother of the victim on Facebook through its Messenger platform and said that she was drunk when the incident happened.

The parents of the boy informed the police about the incident.

An official investigation was opened on June 16, 2020.

The former teacher is currently being held at the Polk County Jail and is charged with 1 count of felony lewd battery.

PCS official Grady Judd said that the mother of the victim is very furious about the incident.

Bushart had worked at the school for 29 years as a reading teacher and worked at several other schools in the country.

She has been placed on administrative leave and the school district has started a process that will put an end to her employment.
