Florida Man Downloaded Over 1000 Images And Videos Of Child Porn As “Boredom Killer”

A man from Brevard County, Florida, was arrested by the authorities after being caught downloading thousands of images that contained child pornography or child erotica.

Upon investigation, the police found out that the man was downloading child porn as a boredom killer, despite knowing that what he did was wrong.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, deputies started to investigate the man after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The tip allowed them to track down the man.

More tips related to the same user came again in April and June of 2019.

This led the police to draft a warrant to search the house of the man.

A Microsoft OneDrive reportedly had 7,548 images, 119 of which were child pornography while the rest were child erotica, records show.

A search warrant was executed for the Merit Island Residence associated with the account on November 20, 2019.

Shane Williams said he lived at the home with a relative and denied the claims of the authorities that said that he had child pornography videos and images.

He also denied that he had an OneDrive account.

After his relative’s children left the house, Shane said that “I know why you’re here” and said that his criminal activity began one night when he hit the wrong button while looking at pornography and “it was a downward spiral from there.”

The man admitted to the police that he had child porn.

He said he downloaded the images to kill time and not for sexual gratifications.

The man said he knew the children in the pictures were victims and said he hated himself for looking at the abuse.

Deputies said an additional search was conducted on the electronics that Williams’ owned.

They then found 524 more child pornography images, some showing victims as young as about 1 year old, were found.

Williams was arrested by the police on Tuesday for having possession of child pornography.
