Florida Man Arrested For Making 26 Pipe Bombs And Detonating Them In Vacant Lots
Boynton Beach, Florida: The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 34-year-old after they found 26 pipe bombs, which some of them contained screws, metal pellets, and even nails.
34-year-old Gregory Haasze is facing 26 felony counts of making possessing and placing destructive device after he was arrested.
The police nabbed on the evening of Wednesday this week in Palm Beach County.
According to reports, the police were called to a dead-end street after reports of an explosion.
Investigators later found remnants of an exploded pipe bomb and a number of undetonated bombs along the roadway.
They sealed off the area and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s bomb squad disabled the devices.
A neighbor later told the authorities that a man named Greg makes bombs and detonates them in open and vacant lots.
Officers also found a box in a trash bin with the name of Gregory Haasze.
A number of bombs and gunpowder were also discovered.
They said that Haasze later approached the police and told them that he was responsible for the incident.
Investigators said that Haasze told the police that he had been making bombs for years and had made some of the found devices for this past Fourth of July.
He said that he never wanted to hurt anyone.
Haasze also told the police that he placed nails, pellets, and screws in the bombs in order to remove tree stumps.
He is currently being held at the Palm Beach County Jail on a $26,000 bond.
