A man from Italy accidentally shot his father dead when they were on a boar hunting trip.
According to local news agencies, the man thought his father was a wild boar when they were hunting in the southern part of Italy.
55-year-old Martino Gaudioso was shot by his 34-year-old son in the stomach when they were stalking their prey separately.
The incident happened in Sicignano degli Alburni, which is located near Salerno, in a national park area that prohibits hunters to enter.
According to local news agencies, the 34-year-old son heard bushes rustling and saw a shadow passing by when he fired the shot.
The shot hit the father in his lower abdomen.
According to local news agencies, the man went out and asked for help from doctors, but unfortunately, they were unable to save him.
The local authorities have seized the 2 rifles that were used in the hunting.
