Thousands Of People Flee In Terror After Massive Volcano In Indonesia Erupts

A volcano eruption in Indonesia has forced thousands of people to flee away in terror as ash is also being thrown in the sky.

The local residents are currently moving to a safer location.

The volcano erupted in the East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia.

According to reports, the volcano erupted on November 29, 2020.

Hot lava, poisonous gas, and hot clouds have been surrounding the province since Sunday this week.

Ash and smoke were observed as high as 4 kilometers into the sky.

Raditya Jati, the spokesperson of the country’s disaster mitigation agency, released a statement about the incident.

Jati said that the Mt. Ile Lewotolok Volcano has caused panic amongst the people that are living in the area.

Residents of the area said that they are still looking for refuge.

Many people are currently in need of money right now so they could vacate the entire island.

The Volcanology and the Geological Hazard Mitigation Center of Indonesia, said that the area near the volcano is likely to experience hot clouds.

Not only that, lava stream, lava avalanche, and poisonous gas are also to be experienced in the area.

The center has now raised the official danger level of the volcano to level 4.

The Mt. Ile Lewotolok Volcano is just one of the 130 active volcanoes in the country.
