Kurukshetra University was established on 11 January 1956, it is a premier institute of higher learning in India and it is  a unitary residential University and its foundation stone was laid by late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. Kurukshetra University (KUK) imparts education in diverse fields, such as Science, Technology, Humanities, Social Sciences, Performing Arts and Sports.
