Virat Kohli’s shares thoughts on India’s huge win over Australia in 2019 Cricket World Cup
Virat Kohli has everything to say about their huge win over Australia in the 2019 Cricket World Cup. India had a 36 run win over Australia, the match was held at the Kennington Oval on Sunday.
Earlier this year, India lost to Australia, and after the win yesterday, Virat Kohli said, “A top, top win for us after losing that series in India. We came in with intent right from ball one. The opening partnership was outstanding.”
Virat added, “It was an outstanding with the ball on a good batting track. You have to bowl well. You can’t take things for granted. That 30 runs gives you the luxury.”
Shikhar Dhawan scored 117 runs for India, Kohli hit 82 from 77 balls, and Rohit Sharma scored a half-century.
India chose to bat first in the match, Kohli called his decision as a “no-brainer”.
Virat added, “One of the top three getting hundred. We decided to send Hardik to cash in. Very professional again. You hardly need to say anything to them.”
Virat also called Bhuvneshwar Kumar as a “champion bowler”.
Kohli then explained why they chose Kumar over Mohammed Shami in the match against Australia.
He said, “For us if Shami has to play, it has to be overcast and proper bowling conditions.”
India is now sitting at the third place in the 2019 Cricket World Cup table.
New Zealand sits at the top of the chart and England, the host of the 2019 World Cup is sitting at the second place of the table.
