8ft 300 Lbs Porbeagle Shark Caught By Fisherman Off The Coast Of Britain

A 300 pounds 8 ft porbeagle shark was caught by fishermen off the coast of Britain, the porbeagle shark is a relative of the deadly great white sharks. It was found by the fishermen 7 miles offshore.

Adam Carter, a 41-year-old fisherman, managed to catch the 300-pound shark.

The fisherman caught the 300-pound shark off the coast of Portland, Dorset.

Adam said it took him 45 minutes to reel the 8-foot porbeagle shark.

Matt Mizen, a friend of Adam Carter, also managed to catch a porbeagle shark on the same trip. The shark Matt caught weighed over 14 stones.

Sightings of sharks have increased after a ban was placed on commercial fishing in European waters.

During an interview with Adam, he said, “Shark fishing is the best I have known it in terms of the number and sheer size of them. Now they are not being commercially fished for we are seeing more and more of them off Dorset.”

Adam also talked about his battle with the 300-pound porbeagle monster.

He said, “It took almost two hours to reel her in. She started off quite tame but I don’t think she realized what was going on. Then after 10 minutes, she started to play hard and we struggled to hold it. For an hour and 45 minutes, she was spinning the boat with runs over 200 meters.”

After Adam measured the shark, the kind fisherman released the hook and allowed the shark to go back to her home, the sea.

Porbeagle sharks are the most common types of sharks that you can find in British Waters, you can also find Blue Sharks in the waters of Britain.

Thanks to the Europe wide protection order, the population of sharks has increased.

In Britain, only three shark attacks have been recorded and all of them did not cause any fatal injuries.

Even after being related to Great white sharks, the porbeagle sharks are not considered as threats to human beings.
