Air Canada Jet Loses Wheel Shortly After Take-Off From New York

A wheel fell-off an Air Canada airplane shortly after it took off from New York.

The Air Canada Airbus A319 jet, which was carrying around 120 passengers and 5 crew members, was en route from New York LaGuardia to Toronto Pearson International Airport on February 18, 2020, when the incident happened.

According to Air Canada, there was an issue with one of the main tires of the airplane when it took off.

The airplane made a safe emergency landing at the main airport in Toronto.

No injuries were reported.

The video of the incident shows that one of the 2 wheels on the right-hand side landing gear was missing as the airplane landed at the airport.
