Brewery In Florida Promotes Adoption Of Shelter Dogs By Putting Their Faces On Beer Cans

A brewery in Florida is currently hot on social media right now, after their amazing idea touched the hearts of social media users.

The Motorworks Brewing in Bradenton, Florida, is working to find shelter dogs a forever home by placing their faces on their specialized beer cans.

The brewery is featuring the homeless dogs on a special four-pack of one of its beers.

In addition to the pictures that the beers have, the label also includes the life story of the dog and information on how you can adopt the dogs.

The brewery has a simple goal, and that is to increase the adoption rate of the animals and raise money for the animal shelter.

In a post that was made by the Motorworks Brewing on their official Facebook page, they said, “Partnering with this month’s cause, Shelter Manatee, we are excited to release an exclusive ADOPTABLE DOG Cruiser Kölsch 4-PACK.”

They added, “Proceeds go to Shelter Manatee to help build the new shelter for our less fortunate four-legged friends.”

They continued, “The dogs featured on the can will be on-site ready for adoption alongside several more puppies-in-need plus raffles, silent auctions, drink specials, food trucks & local vendors. #adoptdontshop”

Last Sunday, the brewery showcased the beer at their Yappy Hour event.

During the event, the adoptable puppies made a special appearance in front of a huge audience.

Talking about the project, Barry Elwonger, the director of sales and marketing of the Motorworks Brewing, said, “The response from this project has been overwhelming.”

The brewery added, “We have had countless calls and messages about the program and we are elated to have raised so much awareness (and money) for the shelter already.”

2 of the dogs that were featured on the cans got adopted during the event.

More than 150 four packs of specialized beer were sold on the day of the event.

The company said the remaining of the beer cans at the brewery is selling fast.

The brewery is now thinking of producing more labels that feature different dogs that are up for adoption.

The proceeds of the sales of the beer are going to go to the Shelter Manatee, a local organization that is looking to build a new shelter home for animals that don’t have a home.
