47-year-old Tina Maria Sumner, a former school nurse, pleaded guilty on two counts of statutory rape and one count of victim tampering.

Tina worked as an elementary school nurse at the Fox Elementary in Arnold when she had sex with a student who was under 16-years-old.

It is reported that Tina had sex with the student 8 times between 2015 and 2017.

Tina also tried to pay off his car loan with $2000 in exchange for him not telling anyone about their sexual relationship.

On August 30, 2017, the student came forward and reported her to the police.

The student reported to the police that he had sex with Tina at his home, the house of Tina, and a building at the Fox School District.

Tina pleaded guilty in the sexual acts and will be serving 7 years in prison and will undergo a 120-day sex offender assessment program.

After the program, Tina will be evaluated by the Missouri Department of Corrections and a judge will conclude if she will stay in jail or she can be free again.

Tina will also be serving 5 years in jail for tampering with the victim.

Tina will also register as a sex offender and will continue a treatment program.

The sentencing of Tina Maria Sumner is scheduled on October 25, 2019.

Judge Darrell Missey of the Jefferson County Circuit will hand out the sentencing.

Originally, Tina is facing 17 years in prison if convicted in her trial, but this was prior to her plea deal.

When Tina Maria was arrested in 2017, she did not give a statement to the police and was released without being charged.

When she was released, authorities told her not to contact the boy or his family members.

Three months after the release of Tina Maria, the mother of the student called the police and reported that Tina sent her son a $2,000 check to pay off his car loan if he vowed to drop the case.

The mother of the student also gave the police a check.

Tina Maria Sumner worked for the School District for 16 years, according to the 2017 payroll records, Tina made over $44,000 in 2017.

Tina resigned from her job after the boy reported their sexual relationship that same year.
