Gay couple left bleeding after getting beaten up by a group of teenagers for not kissing each other in London

A gay couple was beaten up a group of men after the 2 women refused to kiss each other in front of them. The incident happened when Melania Geymonat, a 28-year-old Ryanair stewardess from Uruguay, was with Chris, her American Girlfriend, were on a night out in London.

When the couple was sitting on the top floor of a double-decker bus, Melania Geymonat said that they were approached a group of men who made out sexual gestures at them and told them to kiss each other in front of them.

And when the two refused to do what they were requesting, the group of men started to throw coins at them and even attacked them.

The couple was left bleeding and bruised.

After beating the 2 women, the group of men also stole their personal belongings.

Melania Geymonat shared what happened to them on a Facebook post. She explained, “Last Wednesday, I had a date with Chris. We got on the Night Bus, heading for her place in Camden Town, climbed upstairs and took the front seats. We must have kissed or something because these guys came after us.”

“I don’t remember if they were already there or if they got on after us. There were at least four of them. They started behaving like hooligans, demanding that we kissed so they could enjoy watching, calling us ‘lesbians’ and describing sexual positions.”

She added, “I don’t remember the whole episode, but the word ‘scissors’ stuck in my mind. It was only them and us there. In an attempt to calm things down, I started making jokes. I thought this might make them go away. Chris even pretended she was sick, but they kept on harassing us, throwing us coins and becoming more enthusiastic about it.”

“The next thing I know is that Chris is in the middle of the bus fighting with them. On an impulse, I went over there only to find her face bleeding and three of them beating her up. The next thing I know is I’m being punched. I got dizzy at the sight of my blood and fell back. I don’t remember whether or not I lost consciousness.”

“Suddenly the bus had stopped, the police were there and I was bleeding all over. Our stuff was stolen as well. I don’t know yet if my nose is broken, and I haven’t been able to go back to work, but what upsets me the most is that VIOLENCE HAS BECOME A COMMON THING, that sometimes it’s necessary to see a woman bleeding after having been punched to feel some kind of impact.”

Melania moved in the UK in February 2019. She works as a flight stewardess at Ryanair in London.

4 male teenagers, who are between 15 and 18 years old, have been arrested by the police.

Prime Minister Theresa May also shared her thoughts about the horrible incident, she said, “This was a sickening attack and my thoughts are with the couple affected. Nobody should ever have to hide who they are or who they love and we must work together to eradicate unacceptable violence towards the LGBT community.”

The arrested teenagers are currently being questioned for their horrible acts. They are being questioned for suspicion of robbery and aggravated grievous bodily harm.

During an interview with BBC, Melania explained what happened.
