Man From Sweden Avoids Arrest And Jail Time After Bird Steals His Stash Of Marijuana

A lucky man from Sweden managed to avoid getting arrested and imprisonment after a bird stole the stash of marijuana he was carrying with him.

As detectives were approaching the man, a seagull nabbed the bag of weed and flew away.

The incident happened when plain-cloth police officers were patrolling an area of the Gothenburg Cultural Festival.

During their patrol, the police officers saw a woman smoking weed.

In case you guys did not know, Sweden is home to the most intense laws when it comes to drugs.

If found guilty in having marijuana in your possession a person could spend 6 months in jail and can end up paying a hefty fine.

As the police officers were closing in, a man near the woman clocked the police officers. The police officers saw the man throwing away a bag of weed.

Instead of heading towards the woman who was smoking weed, the police officers ran towards the man and the bag that he threw away.

When the police went to retrieve the bag, a seagull swooped in and flew off with the bag of weed.

The spokesperson of the Gothenburg Police said that the police officers who were involved in the incident were experienced.

The police said around 10 grams of weed was present in the bag that the seagull flew away with.

The police said they couldn’t make the arrest as there was no evidence.

Stefan Gustafsson, the spokesperson of the Gothenburg Police said, “What the policemen did not expect was that a third party would interfere.”

He added, “There were also a large number of seagulls at the site, one of them saw his chance and picked up the bag and lifted quickly with the ‘booty’. As quickly as the seagull disappeared, so did the man who threw the bag away.”

He continued, “The policemen stood and watched the evidence disappear into the sky.”

Stefan also confirmed that the man fled away from the scene while the police officers were trying to recover the bag of weed.

But the woman who was smoking was arrested by the police for use and possession of Marijuana.
