Vivian was brought to the hospital on March 28, 2020, with symptoms of the novel coronavirus.

She was confirmed to have the virus on April 1, 2020.

According to a local newspaper, Folha de Pernambuco, the baby weighed 2 kilograms (4.4 lbs) and had suffered a cardiac arrest.

Talking about his wife, Silva said:

“She was a very hardworking person, she was going to be a law graduate in the middle of the year. She was an excellent person, we had been together for four years. Our son is called Erik and he is recovering. He was born after eight months.”

The Unimed Hospital said that the baby is currently receiving the best care and all the necessary treatments from their medical team.

The family of Vivian does not know how she got infected with the deadly virus.
