These are lawmakers from Trinamool, CPM, Congress. Most are Trinamool… What will happen only the future will tell. Nothing stands still in politics.”
Mr. Roy did not reveal any details about who or when the switch will take place.
BJP won 18 out of the 42 seats in the state.
6 legislators from the Trinamool Congress and one from the Congress party have joined the BJP since the poll results of the Lok Sabha 2019 elections came out.
Mukul Roy, who was once with the Trinamool Congress, joined the BJP two years ago.
The leader also mocked the TMC for appointing Prashant Kishor.
He said, “The appointment of Prashant Kishor is evidence that the TMC has lost confidence in the so-called charisma of Mamata Banerjee. That is why it needs a political strategist to save its sinking ship.”
The comments were made by Mr. Roy while a number of councilors from Trinamool returned to the party after they switched to the Bharatiya Janata Party.
