Operations At Indira Gandhi International Airport Stopped For 70 Minutes After Bomb Threat Call

Yesterday, the operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport were stopped for 70 minutes after authorities received a phone call that mentioned that a bomb was present at the airport.

Authorities at the Indira Gandhi International Airport said, “A bomb threat call for Terminal 2 was received by Delhi Police at 8.49 pm on Monday.”

As a part of the protocol, the passengers at Gate 4 were evacuated and were shifted at a different area of the airport.

Authorities at the airport launched a search operation for the bomb.

After one hour, the Bomb Disposal Squad and the Central Industrial Security Force concluded that it was a hoax.

Authorities said that the bomb threat was a hoax and the operations at the airport were restored normal by 10 pm.
