President Trump Signs Order That Forgives Disabled Veterans College Loans

Disabled Veterans that were still paying their student loan debts are going to be forgiven under an order that was signed by President Donald Trump on Wednesday.

The order that was signed by President Trump is going to direct the Department of Education to eliminate every penny of federal student loan debt that is owed by Army Veterans that are permanently and completely disabled.

During a press release, President Donald Trump said, “There will be no federal income tax on the forgiven debts.”

President Trump says he is going to ask all states to waive the taxes on the student loans of the veterans.

Trump said America owes its heroes a “supreme debt of gratitude.”

The administration of Donald Trump says around 25,000 disabled veterans have received the benefit.

President Trump signed the order during his address at the AMVETS convention in Louisville.

President Trump signed the order after the convention.

The order that was signed by President Trump directs the government to develop an “expedited” process so veterans can have their student loans to be discharged.

Donald Trump was in Kentucky to speak with over 2500 veterans at the American Veterans, better known as the nonpartisan service organization.
