A smart mother shared the life hack on Extreme Budget DIY and Life Hacks, a group on Facebook, to increase awareness and shine a bright light on how to use the potato peeler in a different way.

While sharing the hack, the mother said, “Probably my daftest moment ever – however, works an absolute treat. Use a peeler to slice your block of cheese. Perfectly slim slices of cheese in a fraction of the time it takes me to use a knife.”

Demonstrating how to do it, the mother posted additional pictures of her running the peeler along the side of a delicious-looking block of yellow cheese.
