Teenager Contacts FBI To Report His Trump-Supporting Father For Attending Capitol Riot

An 18-year-old teenager who alerted the FBI to report the roles of his father in the US Capitol Riots is now speaking about their act saying that they would do it all again.

Jackson Reffitt was interviewed by FOX4 about the incident.

During the interview Jackson, who is 18, said:

I got in contact with the FBI after the Capitol riots about my dad. It was my moral compass, kind of, to do what I thought would protect not only my family, but my dad himself.

Guy Reffitt, his father, was arrested by the authorities last week inside their house in Wylie, Texas.

His father is 48 years old.

The man was recorded on video outside the Capitol during the January 6 riots.

He also threatened his wife and children if they turned him in they will get shot.

He reportedly said:

If you turn me in, you’re a traitor and you know what happens to traitors…. Traitors get shot.

The 18-year-old said that the had not spoken with his father since his arrest.

He is also no longer staying at the house of their family and he also said that he would not be revealing his location for safety concerns.

Talking about his courageous act of reporting his father, he said:

I would say I’m sorry, because I don’t feel like I put him in this situation, but I still feel guilty. I would do it again.

The teen contacted the authorities about his fathers in the days before the capitol hill riots.

During an interview with the press, he said:

He would always tell me that he’s going to do something big. I didn’t know what he was going to do, so I just did anything possible just to be on the safe side.

The FBI spoke with the teen in order to follow up on his tip in the wake of the Capitol riots.

The teen said he is afraid that his father would get to know that he spoke with the FBI.

The 2 sisters of the teen and his own mother did not know that he was going to report their father to the authorities.

Talking about former US President Donald Trump, the teen said:

Obviously the man in charge at the time, I feel like, just really manipulated him into thinking what he is thinking now. I’m obviously not sure about that, but I can’t know for sure. That’s the only thing I can blame this — the politics he follows and idolizes.

According to an affidavit that was obtained by news agencies, the father told his family that he was going to Washington D.C. to protect his country.

After returning home, he told his son to not report him to the authorities.

The horrible father also told his daughter that he would put a bullet through her phone if she betrayed him.

During a search of the house, the FBI agents found an AR-15 rifle and a pistol inside the house.

The father is a member of the anti-government Three Percenters Movement, said the wife.

The father admitted that he went to the Capitol riots but said he did not  go inside the building.
